Our Process
Antique black nickel plating is an electrolytic process carried out using a nickel-zinc alloy bath, producing a uniform dark matte to semi-gloss black finish.
A nickel undercoat is first applied to enhance adhesion and improve overall corrosion resistance of the final coating. The final appearance varies depending on the base metal and surface preparation — smoother surfaces result in a deeper black finish, while textured surfaces produce a rich dark charcoal tone.
