Electroless Nickel Plating
Uniform & Precision Electroless Nickel Plating
Durga Electroplater provides electroless nickel plating — a chemical process that deposits a uniform nickel-phosphorus layer without using an external electrical current. This makes it the preferred choice for precision parts, complex geometries, threaded surfaces, and components with blind holes where conventional electroplating cannot achieve consistent coverage. Established in 2004, we carry out this process using a controlled tank setup with monitored bath chemistry.

Our Process
Unlike conventional electroplating, electroless nickel plating is driven entirely by a chemical reaction. The component is immersed in a nickel-phosphorus bath containing a reducing agent (sodium hypophosphite). This triggers a self-catalytic reaction that deposits nickel evenly across all exposed surfaces — regardless of shape or geometry. The result is a consistent coating thickness with no edge buildup, making it ideal for precision and engineering-grade components.
Key Benefits
- Perfectly uniform thickness on all surfaces including holes and recesses
- High hardness and excellent wear resistance
- Good corrosion resistance from the nickel-phosphorus alloy composition
- No edge buildup — avoids uneven deposition common in electrolytic plating
- Ideal for precision and complex-shaped components
- Can be heat-treated after plating to further improve hardness
Industries & Applications
- Precision engineering and machined components
- Parts with threads, blind holes, or complex shapes
- Hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Medical equipment and instrument parts
- Automotive components needing uniform wear protection
- Mould and die surfaces
